I Cut Meat Out My Diet For A Week | MadameAkay

Hey Gems,

As the title says, I cut meat AND dairy out from my diet for one whole week! I challenged myself to be on a Vegan diet for an entire week. If you know me, you know I love me some ice cream and I always keep a gallon in the freezer. So cutting that out for an entire week was hard but I did it.

Day One

I caved into eating white chocolate kit-kats and hot cheetos at the end of the day so I had to restart the next day as day one. I ate toast with peanut butter for breakfast, beans and white rice for lunch and I ate popcorn for dinner.

Day Three

This day I noticed that I wasn’t bloated throughout the day anymore as I used to. I ate toast with peanut butter for breakfast, beans and white rice for lunch and I skipped dinner this day. When I cleansed my face I noticed a glow to my face after I applied moisturizer. I also noticed my acne blemishes were decreasing in size and appearance. This gave me the motivation to continue and be strong.

Day Four

I had corn flakes for breakfast with almond milk and blended a strawberry, raspberry and blueberry smoothie with spinach and kale and lastly almond milk. Y’all this smoothie was amazing!!! I want to try out adding milled flax seed to my smoothie. I met up with some of my girlfriends at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. This restaurant doesn’t really have Vegan options but majority of the sides are vegan options. I came to the restaurant with my own dressing because I read that they did not have a vegan based dressing for the salad.

Day Seven

I had my usual toast with peanut butter for breakfast, Strawberry mango kale vegan smoothie from Smoothie King for lunch and lastly kettle popcorn for dinner. I introduced drinking alkaline water while I’m at work instead of the regular purified water bottles. The brand I prefer is Essentia which has a 9.5 ph level. My bloating is still down! By day five of this diet, I lost five pounds which could be the water weight I was holding.

Summary

In summary, I won’t be a full Vegan because I did have a set back where I enjoyed Nigerian Suya and a slice of cake. Even though I won’t be a full Vegan, I will limit tremendously the amount of meat and dairy products I consume. One of my favorite Vegan food items I had was the black bean burger from Hopdoddy! Y’all, it was really good!

Hope you all enjoyed this content and let me know if you want to know more about the Vegan diet.
